On Sunday night, well Monday morning there was a earthquake that shook New Zealand. The earthquake was about 7.5, Our biggest earthquake for 2016! The earthquake happened at about 12:08! I was sleeping when this happened, my nana woke me up and told me to go to my brothers room. I didnt't know what happened because I was sleeping, so was my brother. I slept in his room for 1 minute untill my nana told me that there was a earthquake. I was too tired to understand what happened so I went to sleep. Some of the damage is dangerous. here are some photo's of the damage in kaikora, where the earthquake did its worst.
