On Sunday night, well Monday morning there was a earthquake that shook New Zealand. The earthquake was about 7.5, Our biggest earthquake for 2016! The earthquake happened at about 12:08! I was sleeping when this happened, my nana woke me up and told me to go to my brothers room. I didnt't know what happened because I was sleeping, so was my brother. I slept in his room for 1 minute untill my nana told me that there was a earthquake. I was too tired to understand what happened so I went to sleep. Some of the damage is dangerous. here are some photo's of the damage in kaikora, where the earthquake did its worst.

this is some of the damage, there was much worse happening with a tsunami coming soon. You should be careful when an earthquake happenes. When an earthquake happenes you need to drop cover and hold on to something.
