Jews In Nazi Germany
Since school has closed down due to COVID-19 we have transitioned to the school holidays, before that we were asked to do one last task for social studies. We were asked to create a presentation on a group of people who's Human rights have been violated, I chose to learn about Jews in Nazi Germany. I chose this because I thought it would be in interesting as I don't really know much about the holocaust and I wanted to know more. We were told that we had to research about them and answer some questions about them that would be in our final presentation. it didn't really take a long time to research but it was hard to put it into words that didn't seem like it was copied. This is my final copy of the presentation, I hope you enjoy it.

Mirror Mirror
“ I think I look pretty average today, the grey hoodie works well with the headband I’m wearing. Though the purple butterfly doesn’t quite match the metallic gold the headband is made with.”
“It could work if you weren’t wearing those green pants, you would look like you dressed up in the dark if you kept them on.”
“What the hell? When could you start speaking? How can you speak? Also I know, I'm rushing here.”
“ I always could, I just didn’t feel like my opinion was needed at the time. Now it does, please change those hideous pants into those new black pants. You want to look your best for this friends hangout.”
“I feel like I’m getting pranked, you sound too much like my older sister Justine, I mean she is coming over for the holidays so I wouldn’t expect her to try and surprise me by doing this.”
“Trust me I’m not your sister, I didn’t even notice you had another sister, you never talked about her around me. Also change your pants please, I don’t want you to become a fashion fail.”
“I know I’m going to do that now, don’t rush me too much. I still don’t believe you though, it’s too much of a coincidence . I still need to figure out what shoes to wear with this. Now can you help me?”
“Wear the white off white sneakers, also touch up your hair, you don’t want everyone to know you were in a rush. Now go before you're late.”
“Alright alright, I’m going. We’ll have a chat after this about your ability to talk, I still don’t believe that's you. You sound a lot like Justine, and the fact that I’m the only one in my family unable to know when she’s coming is too suspicious.”
“Alright alright, just go to your hangout and have fun. We can talk about this later when you aren’t late now go”

The Hunter Swoop

- Curious, Always wonders about creatures and mythical thing., Kind hearted, always is nice towards others. Creative, always thinks about different mystical scenarios that she could adventure into.
Likes and Dislikes
- Loves the outdoors, Her only getaway. Likes water, she had a natural talent for swimming. likes being alone, finds it more peaceful than being in loud areas.
- Hates crowded areas, makes her claustrophobic. Hates fish, found out she was allergic to them. Petrified of being pulled into water, almost drowned when younger because of seaweed.

Self Directed Learning Goal
This week my goal is still the same as the last few weeks. I had chosen the goal "Ask for feedback when I am done." I had said that I would've done this by asking someone to proofread my work when I think I have finished. I now am going to ask my classmates and friends to give me their feedback on my work on my blog, as everyone goes onto each other's blogs all the time. I still am working towards this goal because I haven't really asked anyone for feedback still, I keep forgetting. Hopefully I can achieve this goal before the end of the term.

Music - Pharrell Williams
This week for music we were asked to read a book and then write about the artist or book we chose. I chose Pharrell Wiliams. The book gave a simple summary about their lives. I learnt that Pharrell Williams is a song producer who has created songs for a bunch of different artists. He loved skateboarding too. When he was younger he had started a group called the Neptunes, they started to help make music with other bands and singers. They wrote many famous songs, Pharrell was also in another band but it wasn't as popular as the Neptunes. In 2013 he had helped write two songs for other musicians, they became big hits. He also wrote and performed the song Happy which went into the movie Despicable me 2. In 2014 he released his own album, he also became the coach for The Voice.

Child Soldiers
For the past week for social studies we were given the task to choose something that was happening to kids around that Involved labour. I chose to do child soldiers. It look awhile to figure out what questions to ask but I was able to figure out what to write and how to add to them. I decided to create a piktochart with all my information and then I was able to finish it. This is my finished product.

Why is research important?Research is important because you need to get information from more than one site, you can get multiple opinions and you can go for the one that is mainly used and get your point across with more detail. It's also important because there might not be enough sites that can give you the right information, by looking at a lot you can find out what information is real and what isn't real.
