Kids Can

For our writing assessment coming up we were told to research about a community agency that can help kids and families around New Zealand, I chose to do mine about Kids Can. I don't really know much about it other than the fact that it is a organization that helps kids who live through poverty.

I learned that kids can has been helping kids for 13 years by raising money for them and giving them the support that all kids need. Kids can was created by Julie Chapman who wanted to stop child poverty. Kids can helps kids who are in need of a proper home, Food, Warmth, clothes and health treatment so they can learn properly. They are a trust fund that raises money for the kids because they want to make children able to learn and have a proper education. They help thousands of kids every day and they always feel good doing it. Kids Can doesn't care about the child's background. As long as the child has a proper live that they deserve they are happy. You can donate twenty dollars to the organisation so they can help more kids in need of a happy life Here. Doing this can help a child which you can be proud of. They have a lot of sponsors like meridian energy and the ministry of social development.

  1. Wow Trisha! I am very impressed of how much you wrote the past 20 minutes. I was wondering if you could please put in some commas or any other punctuation in this piece of writing so it is easier for the audience to read it. Other then that, you did very well! Good Job! (:

  2. Good job Trisha. I like the organization that you choose because it is one that gives back to the children in need. I liked how you added the fund to be apart of the organization and how much it was. How did you find some of the history?

    1. Great job Trisha, and what a thoughtful comment Aiden! I also was going to make a comment about the history of Kids Can. I thought that bit made your post stand out and offered interesting information for the reader. Perhaps you used a difference source in your research than Aiden did. It would be interesting to compare the sites you two used to get your different facts. Well done on this blog post!
