Kiwi Baker

This term for Home Economics we have been doing Kiwi Baker. Kiwi Baker was a unit where we made baked goods and learnt more about cooking, it was a really fun unit to be in and I am glad that I am doing it next semester. We were asked to answer some questions about the unit and what we made for our final product.

What did you make?
We made Oreo and Chocolate chip cookies
What did you like about what you made?
I liked how it gave us options to make something that we never really made or would have on a daily basis.
Did you make any changes to the recipe you used?
Yes, we changed how much flour we needed because we needed more than what the instructions had said.
What were the key skills that you learnt?
I learnt that to bake in a group communication is a big key, you need to talk to your group to figure out how to make it, and if we got what we needed.
Did you enjoy the kiwi baker unit?Give some reasons.
I liked it because we made a lot of different baked goods that I wouldn't ever try to make, it let me branch out my tastes and made me learn new things that I didn't really know earlier before the year had started.
